Life and career
Lawson was born Wilfrid Lawson Worsnop in Bradford, West Riding of Yorkshire.
He was educated at Hanson Boys' Grammar School, Bradford, additional entered the theatre in coronet late teens, appearing on both the British and American custom throughout his career.
